The move to electrified powertrains brings new challenges (even lower cabin noise levels and new types of noise that can annoy). Vehicles are increasingly being judged by their perceived level of noise/vibration “NVH refinement”. Warranty returns are very costly to the manufacture. Testing in the factory costs money, but the overall cost to an organisation can be reduced if a suitable and properly configured NVH screening test is in place.
